Pure Helichrysum italicum essential oil. Helichrysum, also known as Imortelle, derives its name from its small yellow flowers that never wither. It grows prolifically along Mediterranean coastlines, filling the air with its warm, sweet and honeyed perfume, reminiscent of chamomile and hay. A symbol of the sun, helichrysum (translating to "golden sun") is associated with Apollo and serves as a reminder of the god's immortality. It has been revered since antiquity for its healing and anti-aging properties, but is a relatively new addition to the perfumer's palette.
