The thin crescent of the overhanging moon cleaves pathways like a sickle through nightfall. Beneath a film of withered leaves rises the arcane essence of the earth and the woods, ancient and fragrant. Scattered with berries and wet stone, the forest floor becomes a temple at which one prostrates themselves. Dry and mineral qualities contrast the scent of nutrient-rich soil; like dog-eared pages on an old novel, sun-bleached and papery bark folds back, revealing fresh green heartwood beneath. Notes of: a moonlit path cleaved through dense woodlands. Baked earth, juniper berry, nutmeg and palo santo* on a grounding base of vetiver root, coffee bean, and smooth woods.
