Mull illustrates how reflection requires us to sit with the unfamiliar until it becomes part of us. It's a scent that calls us to linger and contemplate in the same way a pot of wine and spices develops into something deep and delicious over low heat and with time. At its heart is the comforting richness of spiced wine, steeped with orange and clove, and deepened with tobacco, patchouli, and a rare Malaysian oud I selected in Kuala Lumpur.
