Lone Star

This Saks-exclusive, Swarovski-studded, star-shaped, superstar of a scent has been on the market since 2010. The lone star of the bottle rests proudly in a glimmering sea of blue crystals. Everything is bigger in Texas, except the quantity of this fragrance’s production. After 400 flacons of this fragrance sold, Bond No. 9 ceased production for good. The result is a highly sought after scent featuring notes of pineapple leaf, gardenia, vanilla, and black currant. These notes are secondary only to the bright and colorful blend of bergamot and mandarin orange citrus fruits in the top. Cardamom provides warmth to the blend all the while anointing it with its exotic flair. It only makes sense that the second largest state in the U.S. should be bestowed with its own olfactory expression. Lone Star is our take on this limited-edition work of art by Bond no.9: the perfume company dedicated to creating fragrances that encapsulate various neighborhoods within New York (this fragrance being the obvious exception). This solitary white star, while in the presence of no other polygons, represents anything but solitude.
