Pear Kolaczki - Kolaczkis cookies are a Christmas tradition in Eastern European nations. A moist cream cheese dough topped with various fruits bakes up buttery and flaky. Our family version is topped with stewed brandied pears. Notes: Pears poached in a sweet brandy sauce with a single cinnamon stick spooned on top of buttery cream cheese dough, baked until flaky and topped with powdered sugar.
